Payton keeps moving on
Defeating a team three times in a season is considered one of the more difficult feats to accomplish. Payton found that out on Tuesday night as Northside extended the Grizzlies to three sets before the Mustangs’ run ended with a Payton 21-25, 25-21, 25-19 win in a semifinal matchup at the Class 3A Westinghouse Sectional. Having already advanced further than it had in school history, it would be normal for Brooks to be nervous with every match it played. If the seventh-seeded Eagles had any anxiety coming into their Public League quarterfinal matchup against second-seeded Northside, one wouldn’t be able to tell.
