Oklahoma – Oklahoma makes its 18th consecutive appearance in the event, including every season of the Patty Gasso era. The Sooners own an 18-15 record against teams in the field of 64.  Like many other teams, the Sooners played in three prestigious tournaments, the Kajikawa Classic, Cathedral City Classic and Judi German Classic.  There they defeated the likes of Arizona, Washington and DePaul. Ann Arbor Regional

Michigan – The Wolverines are looking to get to their 10th College World Series, but like Arizona State, their first since 2009. Like many years in the past, Michigan set itself up for a strong regular season by playing a tough preseason schedule that included 12 NCAA tournament teams, including the Judi German Classic, where they defeated Arizona State squad 1-0. Tempe Regional

Arizona State – After a one-year hiatus, the Sun Devils will be looking to get back to the College World Series after going 50-6.  The team faced 1o ranked opponents throughout the season, going 17-5 against them.  They also faced 16 NCAA Tournament teams and won 23 of those games. Tuscaloosa Regional

Alabama – As they make their 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, the Tide will be looking to get to its fourth consecutive College World Series.  Like many top teams, Alabama set itself up with a strong schedule, but that did not manage to hinder them for continuing their success, winning 30 of their first 31 games, including the first 17.  Continue reading

Columbia Regional

Missouri – The Tigers come into the postseason after winning the Big 12 outright.  For the first time, the Big 12 did not have a conference tournament, so whoever won the regular season title would win the league’s automatic berth.  Continue reading

Oregon – No. 13-seeded University of Oregon (39-14) looks forward to its 13th regional trip this weekend (and seventh the last nine seasons).  All-time, Oregon is 1-0 against Fordham (with an 11-0 win in 2000) and 4-0 vs. Penn State.  Continue reading
